Vice President of Programs & Impact

Job Description:

The Vice President (VP) of Programs and Impact provides strategic leadership, innovative program development, and operational excellence to support our immersive programs across the organization.

The VP oversees program development, operations, monitoring, compliance, data management, and reporting. The VP will be instrumental in staff development and effective communications to strengthen program operations and position the organization for continued success as we embark upon our five-year strategic plan towards growth and greater outcomes in support of our entrepreneurial community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought leader in collaboration with the CEO, Board and Senior Leadership.
  • Defines meaningful strategies that ensure the development and alignment of the strategic plan and program goals.
  • A mission-driven champion of cultural change, teamwork, continuous learning, and improvement while upholding the organization’s core values.
  • Employs operational excellence methodologies that ensure high performance across the Program Team.
  • A data-driven thinker who ensures systems are in place and functioning to gather, interpret and report data to drive dynamic programming performance and impact.
  • Ensures compliance with all nonprofit regulations
  • Prioritizes comprehensive, accurate, and well-written reports and surveys are submitted timely in accordance with contractual obligations via grants, sponsors and MOUs.
  • Participates in supporting funding and grant writing needs to ensure sustainability and program growth.
  • Jointly accountable with CEO for implementing technology strategy to support operational excellence and organizational growth.
  • Jointly accountable with CEO for all aspects of talent management strategy (staffing, learning, development, and performance management).
  • Develops core partnerships and collaborative relationships to support existing and new programming across all relevant ecosystems.
  • Participates in developing an integrated strategic communications strategy that keeps the CEO informed of progress, opportunities, and challenges in a solutions-driven manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 plus years of experience as a non-profit executive leader with direct programmatic and fiscal responsibility for a portfolio of programs.
  • Experience with performance and outcome-driven programs with high impact.
  • Progressive experience in program project management methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse team of individuals across geographies or in a remote setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the various ecosystems and strategies that align with and support our work.
  • Demonstrated experience in a key leadership role with strategic partnerships and effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including philanthropic, business, and government sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, organizational leadership, non-profit program leadership, human services, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Program Assistant

Job Description:

The Program Assistant will support the ongoing development and scale of immersive programs at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. This key addition for our small and mighty team is centralized around exceptional project support responsibilities, including coordination and implementation of the Milestone Circles, Milestone Makers, and Startup Intern Match Programs at the Nasdaq Center. The program assistant will work in partnership with one or more program assistants, supporting all three immersive programs (Milestone Circles, Milestone Makers, and Startup Intern Match) at any given time.

The Program Assistant will collect and perform the initial analysis of programmatic data for upper management and support all partner and grant reporting requirements. The successful candidate will work directly with beneficiaries and partners to ensure deliverables are aligned. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. The ideal individual will be able to exercise good judgment in diverse situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Duties and responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support to include: organization of program materials and data; gathering initial data for analysis; correspondence with beneficiaries and partners; project planning and activities and maintaining overall program databases

  • Guide the coordination and implementation of program activities.
  • Collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and influencers.
  • Support the development of program materials and collateral including editing, formatting, and design
  • Identify and facilitate resources and talent opportunities that align with the needs and growth of beneficiaries.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to the logistics
  • Support program facilitation, as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, time management, scheduling, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Highly motivated, driven, self-starter.
  • Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices (e.g. Notion).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Dedication to continuous process improvement.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make important decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Experience with facilitating, training, or public speaking is a plus
