Julien Defosse

Julien Defosse is the Group Manager, Sr. Vice President and Head of Digital Transformation/Product and CX at Bank of the West. Julien is an experienced entrepreneur (as small business owner and as working in corporation). Julien is Belgian, married with 2 small kids (2 and 4y old) and has lived in the SF Bay area now more than 1 year. Julien is passionate about digital & data and the customer experience which he believe is the key to drive future business and to better serve customers. Julien loves to apply a lean start-up approach as an entrepreneur and also enjoys helping other entrepreneurs. Julien has been working with entrepreneurs and for entrepreneurs for more than 10 years and tries to support, coach or just listen to them. Julien is a change agent, a team player with a strong sense of empathy. Julien likes to federate people and create an atmosphere that will transcend the people that he is working with. Julien is active in the coaching community and combines the sport world in which he was active for more than 20 years into his professional environment. Julien is customer obsessed and result driven, he likes to innovate, test and learn on new techno and prototype new ideas. As a Facilitator/coach Julien loves to combine the global strategy and operational work to co-create the future with the customers and other entrepreneurs.

Julien’s energy comes from our customers and colleagues, but as well from the external world which feeds his creativity and creates loads of opportunities for our businesses. Julien’s backpack of experience comes from various positions in different companies but primarily SME & Corporate banking. Julien has been a mentoring in the small business space and has coached basketball for more than 10 years.

Tara-Nicholle Nelson

Tara-Nicholle Nelson is the author of The Transformational Consumer: Fuel a Lifelong Love Affair With Customers by Helping Them Get Healthier, Wealthier and Wiser, and Creator of the 30 Day Writing Challenge for Conscious Leaders.

Tara is an Entrepreneur in Residence with Lightspeed Venture Partners and the Founder and CEO of a startup called SoulTour, a technology and media platform for upliftment and spiritual wellbeing.
